I am determined to make the death of this beautiful girl matter in the world. On 12/ 11/ 09 a herion overdose took away my husbands only biological daughter. Why ? How did this happen? What more could we have done?
This is all new --- but I saw the need for this topic specific group.
Lets get it going together -- lets grieve, and learn how to live and move forward when we do not want to and see not reason to lift ourselves out of the bed.
In this group - you do not need to be a mom or a dad - maybe you are a grandparent, a teacher, a neighbor.
Like me maybe you are a step parent --- . If you are hurting and feel helpless - lets jouney together.
I think my son died of a heroin overdose on June 30th. I am still awaiting the Medical Examiner's autopsy report.
There are so many things I berate myself for: not taking phones calls from him for fear he would only be asking for money when he could have been just reaching out, he had crushed his ankle once and I assumed it was for the pain meds, I could go on and on.
He had gotten clean so many times and I had steeled myself against believing anything he would say. If only I had another chance to let him know how much I love him. I told him lots of times but I don't think he knew how much. Now what?
