I am not sure if OCD is what I am dealing with but it is very close to it. My 7 year old son is diagnosed with ADHD but has never been diagnosed with OCD. He is on medication for ADHD and for the last year when the medicine wears off he starts to pick on his arms/legs/anything that has bumps on it. Sometimes he refers to them as pimples. My ex husband kind of started him on the picking because he told my son that he needed to get the bacteria out of his skin. So ever since then my son has picked to the point where he bleeds. His arms look like he has a disease. He doesn't always pick, it seems to only happen when his medication has worn off or he is "bored". I thought that he might do it because of dry skin and it is bothering him so I got some eurcerin and cortizone cream, but that didn't help at all. I am just not sure how to help him stop this before it gets any worse. Another thing is that he was tested at school and we discovered that he has a very high IQ and they will be putting him in Gifted and Talented for the school year next year. I know that he has a brilliant mind, but I want him to also be a normal child and other children don't want to play with him because he picks on his arms so much. If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them.

BUT.... I feel like my visits are not what they use to be. He...
I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...
