RA, Multiple diagnoses, possible cervical cancer
Hi, I will go ahead and list would have been diagnosed with over the last 16 months. I am 56 years old and now believe of possibly have RA for as long as 20 years but it was not diagnosed until last may. Since then I've just collected more labels-see below.
Currently worried about cervical cancer. Having a biopsy of bladder and cervix later this week. I was treated 25 years ago with cryotherapy and Cone biopsy I believe. HPV showed up on pap smear in 2011 but was not treated. I have had yearly pap smears or bi-annually at least. I had a cystoscopy just last September under sedation and a colposcopy with Valium in December so only 3 months ago. Insurance changed so had to change to a new urogynecologist + on exam she found blood and a mass on my cervix! CT scan shows enlarged pelvic lymph nodes which I pointed out to various doctors over the years. They just looked at me like that was not their area but we're not helpful!
ASCUS positive high risk HPV
mYRNA E6/E/7
Seronegative Rheumatoid Arthritis
(Diagnosed by labwork, xrays and history) Osteoarthritis a given!! Symptoms are proving to be RA versus PA and that's also based on a gene that I did not have for PA
Interstitial Cystitis & many related symptoms (16 months now)
(Diagnosed via various tests & history)
Urinary stress incontinence worsening
Kidney stone
Cervicitis- dx by culposcopy
Gastritis, dx by endoscopy
Hashimotos Thyroiditis- revealed on MRI and ultrasound. 2 large nodules found. Have been pointing them out at least 2-3 years..just monitor.
Raynauds phenomenon- I know I saw signs of this and some of the other stuff going back 6 or 7 years but they were very fleeting and when I would see a rheumatologist there wouldn't be enough to work with to diagnose me with anything.
Sjogrens disease (I don't buy that one yet) but the rheumatologist labeled me with it due to dry eyes, mouth, skin.
Left ear fluid filled for months now. no pain but likely related to RA. I read it can damage your hearing.
Mouth sores that come and go- apparently common with RA..now in other places. Rash on arms.
Factor V Leiden (caused DVT clot and pulmonary embolism in 1998)
MTFHR gene mutation- was positive for 2 copies of the variant. Other markers in 2017-
Psoriasis recently reappeared- mild
Bursitis in hips x 4-5 years
Elbows off/on since May 2017
Hand pain and stiffness, bilateral
Middle right finger and knuckle pain
Lots of obvious redness/inflammation swelling of hands and arms
Spinal Scoliosis
Mild cervical & lumbar stenosis
Multilevel spinal spondylosis
Degenerative disc disease (all spinal diagnoses from Dec 2017 MRIs and Xrays)
Deficient vitamin D continues
Deficient folate continues
Elevated Homocysteine continues
All of the above is a lot to read I know. The bladder has been the most problematic. I guess I want to know if anyone else with are a seronegative or positive RA have had interstitial cystitis or cervical cancer. Just feel very alone! Commiserating with me or any advice might be helpful. Thanks!
