Living with Lyme Disease Community Group
The purpose of this group is to help Lyme sufferers develop a support system for themselves as they go on this lonesome journey while suffering with Lyme. Governments and the medical establishment seem to have washed their hands of this problem. The way it is now, we have to find our own ways of coping with this disease and thus surviving and ultimately getting healed. We...
have found that the activity on the Lyme site varies. Some weeks a lot of posts. Some very little.
At one time, I went to a local Lyme group and met many people. That was about six years ago. Since
then, it has disbanded and two others have formed. They are important sources of learning and
support for me. To me, this is a very lonely and misunderstood illness. I don't mention it to most people.
My family has their own concerns. So, I totally feel we have to turn to each other for our guidance
and understanding.
That is pretty 'heavy' about your family going back three generations with this illness. Little
did I think that was possible. I like the picture you did of your brother. That's very moving to me.
I am sorry for your loss. I also lost my only sibling, my brother, to cancer some six years ago.
Luckily, others in my family do not have Lyme that I know of.
I like that you're taking the initiative with this site. I hope others join.
Meanwhile, I am going through some more testing in a week or so. Labs for
immune 'stuff'. I'm attempting to keep a positive outlook about this. Overall, I"m up and about
and able to do a few activities that were not possible in the rainy cold winter. We're actually
having springlike weather today. with sun. take care, rosa
