I'm new to the site and to the group.
A quick backstory, I was sexually abuse at 9yrs, raped at 11yrs and raped again at 14yrs.
I had been in a physically abusive marriage for 10 yrs until he kicked me out in favor of a girlfriend, who was our room-mate and friend at the time.
I am still surviving after all of these things happening to me. I have PTSD, depression and anxiety, all stemming from my abusive marriage but I have learned to live with the oncoming symptoms and found a way to deal with all of it through meditation and herbal tea and, mostly, positive thinking.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

Having been raised in a religious home that never really prepared me for the real world, I had no idea anout how to handle relationships with the opposite sex or how to handle the depression and anxiety associated with it. After many years of living in misery, I learned meditation and it changed my life and was one of the tools I used to overcome a lifetime of addictions...
I also found that practicing radical forgiveness is very healing.
What kinds of herbal tea do you drink? I sometimes drink chamoile tea or labrador tea when I have trouble sleeping because they make me tired and I drink chaga tea which helps me meditate better.
