Liars Anonymous Community Group
A support group to provide those with a compulsive addiction to lie a place to share hope, strength and courage with others like them; solve our common problem and help others with a compulsion to lie. We aren't alone!
We lie out of fear. Fear of judgement, fear of abandonment, fear of facing our shame and guilt, fear of loss of control, ... What are your fears? You have to learn to accept yourself. Accept your actions. It is ok to be imperfect. Quit activities that you feel you need to lie about, journal daily. It won't be easy. It has become a defense mechanism for you. Muscle memory. It takes daily work. Hold empathy for those you have lied to while looking into their eyes. Know it will take time for them to learn to trust you again. But do this for you and you alone. Because you.can. Once you truly start down this road of self growth there is no turning back. One day at a time. Today only tell the truth. No matter what!
