Liars Anonymous Community Group
A support group to provide those with a compulsive addiction to lie a place to share hope, strength and courage with others like them; solve our common problem and help others with a compulsion to lie. We aren't alone!
"Yeah we really do mess up our lives with these lies. And it is a hard thing to change but change is the thing that we have to do. You have to break yourself down to your core and figure out who you are and who you really truly want to be. There's a lot of ways and things to do to help you change. The best way to change and to rebuild trust is to work with your girlfriend, and come up with a plan of things to do everyday. Things that will help you change. Things that will remind you of the problems you caused. Things that will give your girlfriend some hope that you really truly can and will. Make a plan. Work with her. Things can get better.
I have a list of 5 things that I do either daily or weekly;
1-Pray every night and morning. Having the Lord in our life really will help.
2-Read the scriptures every day. See above.
3-Go over the money (this has been my big problem) each day with your girlfriend, or what ever other thing is your big issue.
4-Read this blog every day, and maybe write something to it. This can help you remember the problems your lying has caused and help to see that you are not alone, and that many of us are also working on it.
5-Search out other sources of learning on how to stop lying, change habits, gain self esteem, or self help of some kind.
Go over this list with your girlfriend, and review it everyday with her. My wife has been my best counselor. This will help her to see your efforts, see your improvements, and give her some security and build trust that you can do it. It will also help you build trust in yourself that you can do it. That is very important. Good luck. It's a long road, but you can do it."
