Liars Anonymous Community Group
A support group to provide those with a compulsive addiction to lie a place to share hope, strength and courage with others like them; solve our common problem and help others with a compulsion to lie. We aren't alone!
I think it's important to everyone of us to hear something positive from time to time. That's why I wan't to share my story with you guys.
As you may see in my journal, I've been active at the begginings of the Group. Like most of you I was then miserable, trying to fight my biggest problem, that was compulsive lying. It ruined my private life almost resulting in a divorce.
It took me few years. I struggled to stop lying completly. Well, that's not a 100% success. But now I sometimes happen to lie, however only when not lying would result in someones harm (not mine!!!).
I have rebuilt my relation with my Wife. It's still far from perfect, but we are actually together again. I know it will take another few years untill She trusts me nearly the way She did in the past. But I believe it's still (or should I say again?) possible.
So remember - it's really worth to sacrifice. It takes awfully lot of time but it brings results.

If you don't mind me asking, how were some of the ways that you rebuilt that trust? I am in a position where I have hurt one of my friends almost beyond repair and keeps asking me to help him trust me again. I have been working really hard at it, but feel like I am making little progress. I know its a different kind of relationship than marriage, but I figured this might be the best place to ask how other people have helped their loved ones with trust again.
Thanks for sharing an update with all of us. You have been here with me and some of the others almost since the beginning. I hope you'll be able to join us at the conference next year so we can meet face to face and share more stories!
I am happy beyond belief for you that you have been able to rebuild your life and love of yourself. You sound so different from when you first came on here. *Big Hug* back at you! I too am interested to hear different things you have tried. Wishing you the best!
