Liars Anonymous Community Group
A support group to provide those with a compulsive addiction to lie a place to share hope, strength and courage with others like them; solve our common problem and help others with a compulsion to lie. We aren't alone!
In relationships, there's a lot I can say that you can probably work around with, but my best advice is to try and find who you are first and remember to be comfortable with that. There is NOTHING wrong with saying I don't know! If you really don't know, and it's a delicate subject, make a joke! Lighten the mood! Be yourself and be comfortable with it.
With work and your job interviews, tell the truth. I know this sounds kinda rhetorical... but seriously that's all you can do. Find out what makes you lie. Is it when you are frustrated? Is it when you are scared? Is it to make yourself look better? Once you locate some of the triggers, you might be able to stop them from happening and gain some control.
If you tell a lie, even in an interview, it's best to correct yourself then and there, because that will show them you are trying to be honest, even if you don't want them to hear the full truth. You want to be as honest as you can, so you don't have to correct it later, or feel the need to lie your way out again.
Great Quote: "Don't lie, it means you never have to remember what you've said."
I know it might not have been the most helpful advice, but we're all here with a similar problem. Just stay strong and know there are others out there supporting you!
