What's going on? I know the feeling and it helps to talk about it. I am having a not so great night myself but helping others has helped me and so has this site.

Hey guys. We all struggle, but with support we can make it through. How are you both today?

Here's my 2 cents. Without a lot of details of your situation, it seems that most of us lie about things that we are afraid of being or looking like, or things that we wish we were but are not. This may or my not be your case, but if anywhere close, think about this. What has worked for me (and I'm a long way from being fixed) is to figure out who I am really, and not be afraid of who that is. Figure out who I want to be, and start to work on being that person (skills, character traits, accomplishments, etc.). Always remember who your are and never lie about it. We are all on multiple lines of progression, and there is never anything wrong with the statement "I am working on that". I was watching a TV show and one character said "nobody has it all together". I truly believe this to be true. We are all working on being better, but Shakespeare's quote, "This above all, to thine own self be true..." really says a lot. Be yourself always, and don't lie to yourself about who you are, and it will be a lot easier to not lie to others.

We are our own gifts of imperfection!! That is what makes us unique! Agree!! Have to love yourself before you can love anyone else!!

Hi Brianna. We are here to help you if you need our support. Gwilly put it really well, the two biggest things you can do improve your situation is admit to yourself who you really are and embrace that person. I am an expert at lying to myself, and this is where I have to start if I hope to be honest with others. I suspect many of us are in this situation, which is exactly why we can understand eachother's struggle.
