My name is Max and I have a problem with lying to my wife. Recently my wife asked if I had sent over our tax documents to the accountant to get them filed. Money has been tight and stress in our house has been very high lately. I lied and said that I had. I figured I would send them in the next day or two and it wouldn't be a big deal. But I didn't. And I continued to lie about it until yesterday when she decided to do the taxes herself and I was caught. This is not the first time I've lied about money issues. Earlier this year we got a notice of foreclosure on our home because I hadn't paid the mortgage and we had to get a loan to get back on track. This has completely broken her trust in me and I'm so scared that I'm going to lose her. I am in therapy but I've not been making the most of my time with the therapist. We haven't talked much about my lying. So yesterday after all of this happened I sent my therapist a text telling him about what happened and I'm meeting with him on Friday. I'm really hoping I can do the work and be a better person for my wife and our children because I know how much I've hurt them and I'm afraid I'll lose them
