Liars Anonymous Community Group
A support group to provide those with a compulsive addiction to lie a place to share hope, strength and courage with others like them; solve our common problem and help others with a compulsion to lie. We aren't alone!
We all have lied, that's why there is forums like this. Be straight forward, its easier to tell the truth than try to keep lies for all different stories we have told and emblish them to make it sound good. If you truly love something set free as they say in order not to hurt them anymore or be honest and you both will be free and you can both be happy together
We have similar stories - My name is Ashley. I have been a compulsive liar as long as I can remember. It recently has damaged my current relationship with someone I love very much. We have a little one on the way, I would like to change. I don't want this to define who I am anymore. It's an addiction/Character defect that has ruin my life. All because I am afraid of the consequences from the truth. I afraid of the negative reaction of others and him. To disappoint. However, the only thing lying has done is destroy my character and my life.
-> Things will be get better. Do you not worry. It's hard to break old habits trust me. However, continue to work on being honest and open. This is a HUGE stepping stone. Well, just for an update, last week ( Sunday to be exact ) Me and my boyfriend spoke. I came clean about a lot of things that made me uncomfortable, I prayed. I talked with close friends as well as family (my sister) for support. Me and him had talked everyday throughout the day. Guys, I did good for the most part. I started doing the things I should've done in the beginning of our relationship-such as praying, covering him, being supportive, working on rebuilding his trust. Things were looking good. We were really bonding. However, Thursday he seemed very hurt. A lot of thoughts went through his head, we started to dig deeper into the root of my lies, it was painful for him. It's been two days since we have spoken. I know I need to give him time. Just like you have to give your wife sometime. Keep working at it, Things will get better.
I just ask if you all will say a prayer for me. Even if you're not religious. Just in need of hope and faith. The bible says - " Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much". - James 5:16
