Liars Anonymous Community Group
A support group to provide those with a compulsive addiction to lie a place to share hope, strength and courage with others like them; solve our common problem and help others with a compulsion to lie. We aren't alone!
I just started a new discussion thread with the post, "trouble at work," and fear I may lose my job because of lying. I, too, am afraid that I'll be puffing up my abilities when I go on job interviews. I am afraid of losing my job, afraid of not getting a job, afraid of overselling myself, afraid of being honest about why I lost my job (with friends, family) and afraid of being embarrassed in front of my colleagues. I don't know if this helps you, but I am trying to focus on honesty for selfish reasons) . . .if I don't oversell myself, I can be free of all that anxiety about my inadequacies and the fear of being discovered. And, if I get the position, do I really want to bring all that garbage with me. I'm sending prayers your way that you'll be able to continue the solid honesty that you have experienced. Keep hanging in there and know that I am inspired by your self-awareness.
