Congrats for taking the courage to even look at this problem.
As silly as it sounds, give yourself a pat on the back for that.
We all have to look it at some time.
We can ignore it or tell ourselves we will deal with it later, but we are going to deal with it at some point.
Even if that means by not dealing with it, we will have to deal with the inevitable consequences of the damage of dishonesty in our personal relationships.
Knowing that we will have to deal with our lying at some point, might as well take care of it now, rather than damaging ourselves and the people around us with our dishonesty.("An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure"?)
First step is hard. Coming out of the closet as a liar to address it, is not easy, but with fellow liars…. We get it, we accept you and get it more than most, no matter what situation you are in.
I noticed apart of lying for some people is being ashamed of who they are, or to avoid feelings, apart of our meeting is to practice coming who we actually are –a practice in telling the truth, feeling the feelings and doing it anyway.
I am very under slept and my apologies for the ramble. I will leave this quote for food for thought, “We cannot change anything until we accept it. Condemnation does not liberate, it oppresses.” Jung
