Hi all, I'm new here and I'm looking for an accountability partner who also has (or has had) an issue with compulsive lying. Perhaps someone who also needs to check in with someone about urges to lie, or confessing anything that they can't tell anyone in their life at first and discussing progress. 

I have caused a lot of pain to a very close person of mine due to my incessant addiction to lie out of shame, to avoid conflict, to gain sympathy or sometimes for no reason at all - just out of habit or an underlying feeling of discomfort. I've been seeing a therapist for several months and I have been engaging in books on the topic to get better, however I still have lied about minor things and it's getting to the point that the person who is giving me a lot of chances and patience will be walking away. I really want to change this habit and be a better honest man, so I've come here to hopefully see if anyone wants to accompany in this journey to help each other surpass this horrible and toxic habit.
