My lies are costing me my marriage. We've been separated for over a year thinking he was the one with the problem and just yesterday I discovered I'm the one with the problem. I've been lying to him about so many things throughout our marriage you finally just gave up on me. I want to do what's right and learn to be honest with him and everyone else in my life. Figured joining a group was the best way to start.

I was in the same boat, lost two relationships from my lying and just now working on rebuilding one of them but it has taken time and we are still not back together yet. I would love to talk more about this because I would bet we are very similar in regards to the paths we have been on. Hope to talk to you at some point, dont give up dont lose hope restoration is possible.

Rebuilding trust after it is broken is one of the hardest thing my therapist said. It’s important that you’re serious and that your partner is supportive about it.

What do I do when my partner isn't supporting me? We're really good at co-parenting our kids but he's kinda given up on me.

JazzieJ...My Marriage is not able to be restored. Now the current relationship I have been working on that for the last 8 months and its going very well. Look for support groups near you, continue to share here.

I've been there before. My first year was the toughest yet because I still didn't admit my lying habit at the time. Now, 3 years in, I kill the lies. Yes, I still struggle with it, but I have great support and friends here that help me through. You're not alone. Healing can begin.
