You've taken the first step and admitted that you have issue. That's a HUGE plus. I too hurt my spouse with my lies and it made me feel horrible. I have struggled with lying since I was a child and I thought that I had it under control until recently. You can beat this because lying is the trick of the enemy. Surrender this entirely to God and understand that you can not fix this on your own. You must be willing to work on this each day and continue the journey. It's hard but it can definitely be done. I started by looking at what God said in the Bible about lying and found that He hates it. Focus on His truths and knowing that you can do all things because He will give you His strength to do it. I believe in you and I know that you can beat this.
Just as DonewithLying has stated - you made that first big step - admittance. Lying is a beast that wants to fight at every tooth and nail to keep it buried and uncontrollable. But you are already pushing through it - hold on to it and keep saying to yourself and outloud - I want to stop I NEED to stop. Believe in god, say prayers. Look at yourself in the mirror and know that you are better than the lies. I've dealt with this beast for over 20 years have hurt too many people ruined too many relationships. This is a day by day process, it's not going to happen every night. But every day you go without a lie, is another day that you've gotten stronger. You have the support of all of us here. Stay strong you can do it!
