What about if the truth hurts people and will really mess up everyone’s life?
I'm right there with you, I have been with my husband for 8 years and I've had a problem with lying for more years than I can count. It's such a horrible cycle that is so difficult to break. He has been an angel to me forgiving me each time, but this last time a week ago today was a game changer - he had threatened divorce if I had done it again, and I tried so hard and then I failed again and lied and cheated online - we're now almost living as roommates..Thankfully he is willing to try and work with me until I can get it right...but I know if it happens again he will divorce me. So..if it helps, I've started a journal that I now write in every day to account for everything I've done and said and make sure that I can back each thing up, and also deleted every single app and contact off my phone that wasn't needed. I'm looking to start therapy also - it's going to be a long process but if you're willing to make the effort and prove that you can do it...there may be hope.
