Hi everyone. I just saw a video on youtube.com that is part of a series on compulsive lying. Unfortunately, I haven't had time to view more of the series (it appears that it's all on youtube), but I thought you might like to check out this psychologist's theories. It's an extremely helpful tool - http://sfhelp.org/site/intro.htm and will help you find your true self if you're prepared to read through and listen to all the video's.
The site is valuable in that it can assist you with discovering why you are the way you are. What happened in your childhood that perhaps caused you to lie consistently, why do you appease people, why do you avoid conflict, why are you not your true self.
A lot of time involved, but worth it if you want to really overcome this addiction.
