I finally found help in a twelve step program that I did with a therapist. The 12 step approach stems from the AA tradition but applies to any type of compulsive behavior. Additionally, you will find online resource on compulsive lying that might be helpful. I am happy to share more if this will be helpful for you.
By the way, what are the 12 steps I need to recover? Also I am looking for a sponsor to kick me in line when I do lie. Can anyone help !e with that? Where do I even start looking for a sponsor?
I was a compulsive liar for nearly my lifetime and I was not proud of it. I didn't admit it was a problem and second of all, I lied to myself. Break the cycle of lying to yourself and come into contact with people that will help you break the cycle of telling a lie. You can do this! We are here to help!
