Hey everyone
Please I need help and advice. I have a problem with lying, reading some of there’s messages. Remainder me of my past as a little kid in elementary school I used to lie about my family and said I was adopted and had so much last names. But last week my girlfriend my everything broke up with me because I lied to her in the beginning of our relationship about my past relationship I was in. Lied to her saying I never had raw sex and lot of questions sexually that involved with my past ex. And I told her how I was scared to tell her the truth and she stated how I only think about myself and it true. I never thought about how she would feel in the long run. It came a point in time where we almost really broke up bc all I did was lie and I told her how I’ll stop and from that day on I never lied to her all the lies eventually came out in light. And now I caused her pain and broke her heart twice. I never wanted this to happen. I broke both of our hearts. I need help idk what to do anymore.

I have been in a similar situation. The shittest part of this situation, this will likely happen again in the next relationship if it is not dealt with.
If you want close intimate relationships with others that are going to last for years(AKA if you don't want to die alone)..... you are gonna have to get rid of this habit of lying.
We started a support group. Its free. Come check us out.
Personally I have been a liar my entire life. I know its not going to go away over night. I probably will have to do a little work for the rest of my life to keep it away(just how sober alcoholics never drink again).
We can get better, its just gonna take some time and work,

Whatever you do, don't run away from this problem. It will follow you for the rest of your life and it will fuck up all your relationships.
