HI, I am new to this so please please bear with me... I am a 42 yr old married mom of 7. I don't know why but I have always had a horrible habit of lying, even for the simplest things. Unfortunately I have cheated on (1 x's) and lied to my husband more than i can even count. He has been a wonderful husband and does not deserve any of this. Today was the last straw, I lied about spending our savings. He is done and I can't blame him. I promised him that I would get help and would really appreciate any feed back on how to get out of this horrendous lying addiction. I have promised this before but for some reason it never seems to happen, but I don't want to lose my husband and family. We have reached a breaking point and I really need help...

To start, seek counseling. I encourage you to go together so there is neutral territory for expressing your feelings. I don't know how you feel about spirituality, etc, but if cost is an issue, there are free Christian counseling groups all over the place. If this is not an issue, you'll likely find one easily.
Keep a journal, and check in frequently. We are here for you...AND for your husband and family. God bless you as you begin this journey. It's a very real, yet very worthwhile struggle.

Thank you so much. I used to journal and really need to get back to it. We did try counseling once and it didn't work very well but hopefully we can try again. i appreciate the feedback and will continue to check in. Just looking through I am feeling less alone in this journey.

That's so true. You are NOT alone. I never thought of groups like this having sponsors, but that's another good option. I'm fairly mew here myself, but have been doing well. Scott Rand and Flubie have also been very supportive of me as I've posted on my journey.
As I've said..we are ALL here for you, and will be a good family of support for you.
