Liars Anonymous Community Group
A support group to provide those with a compulsive addiction to lie a place to share hope, strength and courage with others like them; solve our common problem and help others with a compulsion to lie. We aren't alone!
At the being I want to say hello to everyone, especially those whom I know. I also want to welcome warmly those of you whom I don't know (and that's a majority I think).
My name is Tomasz and I'm a liar.
This group helped me a lot. I don't know if I am able to express how much. I joined over 4 years ago when the were less then 100 people here and since then I keep my everyday to stay honest). When I came here my life was in ruin. I used to lie everyday and almost about everything. My Wife wanted me to move out and to divorce. I had no real job, I was just pretending I'm running a company. Well, I won't repeat full story, you can find it in my journal (and I encourage to read it).
Today my life has totally changed. Not everything is great, but the improvement in each area I think of is significant. First of all I have less under control for most of the time. Sometimes I still fail and I want to reduce even number of those failures but usually I can face my shortcomings and admit I did something wrong. My Wife is still with me (however the damage I made is so big I still can't be sure if she stays ). I've got a job I love and an opportunity for even better position (I hope I'll know soon). And finally I don't have debts to worry about.
Sounds good? Well, each of you can achieve the same or even more.
I had no idea how could I actively participate in this group activities. I commute over 5 hours daily and have so little time for my Wife, I didn't want to use it on anything else. I was reading some news from the group, but usuallythatwas all. Recently a simple and obvious solution came to my mind: I can there my time in train to keep in touch with LA. How could it take me so much time to think of this in days of mobile internet? I have no idea. But he I'm am, ready to help anyone, who needs it and grateful for all support and help I received here. Today I want to pay back this great debt.

One is that my post could sound like some advertisement or a promise. Neither was my intention. I just wanted to encourage all those in doubts and all people struggling to stay honest despite their problem with lying. I also want to share my story and support whoever wants it, but I cannot promise that it will make you stop lying. For me the support received here was essential (and I still hope to get some when I need it),but I also know that no one could do my work except me. So if anyone found such foul intention in my text - I'm sorry, I really didn't mean that.
Second thing is that I write my posts on a mobile device with some sort of speed writing and spellchecking. Usually it helps but sometimes it changes the word and I don't notice it. Well, sometimes the result is poor. Like I meant I control lies and spellchecker changed it into I control less. I'll try to avoid such mistakes but if it happens I hope you'll forgive me.
