My gf has broken off our relationship due to my repeated lying. She has lost all trust in me and I can't blame her. My lying comes from my childhood and fear of punishment and the need to be liked and accepted. It's been many, many years of this.
She doesn't want to speak or see me at this time but she is supporting my journey to stop lying and rebuilding trust and wants me to share anything I have to say. I'm confused with this as how can I share and interact with her when I can't speak or see her. How can I show her I'm on the recovery mode ?
Any insight and direction would be appreciated.
I am a liar and I haven't lied in 4 days.

I would first respect her wishes. If she doesn't want to talk to you, respect it. Concentrate sincerely on understanding why you lie and strategies to stop. Post on here, read articles, go to counseling if you can. Do this sincerely, learn and make progress. Do this for yourself and for everyone that you love.

If she decides that she wants to be around you again, consider yourself lucky! If she doesn't, make a clean break and move on with your life with the lesson learned, and live s better, honest life. I have to believe the struggle is worth it!

Been doing a lot of soul searching and reflection, have decided to not worry about it anymore. I have a journey to be on and that's what's priority.
Doing very well and damn proud of it !

4 days is awesome. congrats. lying is a hard habit to break. and being able to admit it is the hardest thing. you are doing great. but I think you should focus on bettering yourself and to make yourself proud and not to do it for your girlfriend. if you do it for her it won't be as sincere as you doing it for yourself.

Doing extremely well and continuing to be truthful. Also started therapy last week and excited for both my therapist and my progress. Continuing to be on a positive path.
