Let me be Me Community Group
A support group for those of us that need a safe place to share what ails us. Or what doesn't! This group is your group so you can be the person you really are, no need to pretend, no need to create some successful cyber image. Whether sharing our trials and tribulations, or our success's in life. Whether in sadness and needing comfort and support, or just...
So sorry your son is going through this
However it sounds like he is in the right place to get the help that he needs
Mental illness can be so disruptive to the family, but it is not your fault.
There is nothing you or anyone else could have done to change this for him.
Psy hospitals are safe places, and when patients see that they need help
It can be a very good place to gain perspective and chill for awhile
Stigmatism is rough, the fear of being judged or considered weak was, in my case, right in my face
For me, and I deal with depression, I was able to slightly change my perspective
Than things began to improve just a little bit for me. It did take awhile
My family encouraged me to see the plus side of being hospitalized,
to accept the help that was being offered.
Trying to learn what was going on in my confused mind
That believing the crap my mind was telling me were lies in and of themselves
For your son to allow himself to be hospitalized is a HUGE step forward
Support and acceptance of his situation by family will make all the difference in the world
Your son is very lucky to have the family he has.
You are an amazing mother Jc
I sure hope this works out to his benefit
I am sending all the strength I can muster to you and your family
Lots of Love n Hugs
Michael

I am not sure how you feel but I know what I have been through with mine. We do what we can and wish we can do more. I am learning that really I can't fix some things and professionals can. Your son is in good hands,
There is a grandchild involved and I know you have to step up for his child when he can't . You are strong woman and I admire that in you.
Healing wishes for your son. Peace to you my friend. Hang on.
Love and hugs
hippy
It is always hard when our child is ill at any age. All you can do is be there for them and stay as positive as possible.
Sending as much extra strength as I can.
Love and hugs-RJ
You're right, Hippy..there are grandchildren involved ( long story on why you've heard about his daughter and not son)
Anyway..
My daughter and I have decided to allow her to stay in the AWESOME foster home that she had passed through last year during out legal struggle to keep her with family. That family is so fond of my grandaughter..that they have held a spot for her since they had her. The Mom has told my daughter that uf it were ever needed..she would adopt my grandaughter.
So..it is WONDERFUL to know that she is in a safe..and LOVED place.
My heartbreak stems from..
Wishing I were physically able to keep her. For her..for me..for my son..and all f the family.
I had to finally realise..
That the best thing for her..
Might have to be letting her go.
( My daughter had her last time..
But..she is a working single Mom..and, I just don't think it's fair to her to have to be the hero
That I feel I'm SUPPOSED to be
( I knw y'all get how much it sucks when the mind and heart are willing..
But the damned body just isn't.
Wow..lots of typing there.
I'm still thinking of all of you and your struggles.
My Mom's here from a couple of more days..
And then I will try to catch up more with you's guys ( east coast..:-) :-)
Thanks again for your luv n support
Big hug and love to everyone
Here and absent
Huuuugggzzzzz
It's my sons wife..not him..that has been the cause of daughter being removed from the home.
I do understand to a certain extent what you're going through. If you ever need to talk? I'm here for you.
