Hey everyone. I have created this group for the lesbian community.


I am making this post to do a small rant. So, my best friend is straight and found out last night at our sleepover that I was reading lesbian books on wattpad. I never told her I was out as a lesbian but I feel like she knows? Anyways she is basically my dream girl but unfortunately she’s as straight as a ruler. Whereas I am not (obviously!)

Good for you for starting the group! I bet there is the need..although ive always been surprised how little activity there has been on all the lesbian groups..but maybe its because they are so specific that they rule folks out.

In regard to your rant, what are your concerns? Have you considered coming out to her?

Update: she found out I am lesbian and she’s perfectly fine with it!

I don't hide my admiration for certain women, except at work
I answer all those "test questions" I get except~when someone ask me "so are you gay?" I'll say NO because I can be extra sometimes and I prefer the label lesbian to gay~
I know that people, look at me and get confused about my sexuality but they know that "sumtink's off" and I don't try to change their mind.

I feel good at this place of being open with what I do but I'm finding my problem is that not all lesbians have good gaydars and they question me or seem dismissive of me. I might need to do that whole coming out process just so that I can be more included with the invisible group of wocwholuvwoc. The only reason I see for doing this though is because I find myself becoming more and more secluded.
