Hello ladies---- I hope it's okay if I start the day here today. I have missed you all so much I can't even put it in to words. I think about all of you and about this group all the time. And the last few days I have been much better and able to function, get things done, and interact with Josh about many things, all by the grace of God I must add. What finally turned things around for me these last few days is a treatment called neurofeedback. It's used to treat many things including depression, traumatic brain injury (which I want to discuss with Daisy as soon as we get a chance), autism and other stuff. I am so grateful to finally have a chance for recovery after dealing with this for the past 22 years. And I am eager to hear how you are all doing and what you are up to so please check in! :)
I am watching Royal Ascot and really enjoying it. Spent the weekend with friends from Maryland and really loved every minute. Spending this weekend with the outlaws up north in Newcaslte and can not wait.
Heidi It's lovely to see you here, and to know things are okay. I will be away until Tuesday but feel free to join the other's for a cuppa in my kitchen.
Hello. Richard my son is enjoying the Salvation Army's daycamp. They are teaching him so many things and it is phenomenal...best investment we ever made. He's acting more healthy and is less bored, although sometimes he still gets temperamental. But he's learned about Airplanes, about Business and about Cyberbulling and Identity Theft.
Uhhhhhhhhhhm......I can't discuss work except to say that there are complaints and issues and each year has a certain *theme* as to events going on and what various leaders *deem* important. It's fascinating.
Church is still weird. I still cannot decide where I want to go. I guess that I will have to stick to my Church of Christ because that's where most of the folks who know me go. It's like finding that one husband--that one mate to care for. Did you know that I grew up Anglican? Can you believe it? I am so far removed from the Nicene Creed and the "Dona Nobis Pacem" and the organ and the Stations of the Cross and Catechesis. My sister and myself had a falling out and a bad history with the local Bishop and his family-line and I haven't really been back since all that drama and it is sad.
When Richard, my son is about 10, I think that it would be nice to attend a "Catechesis." He's bright but like most of the folks in the family, his emotional development is behind. I think though in another year, he will be steady enough for a Catechesis. He's almost 9. Lets give him another year.
I've been attending a local friend's Pentacostal church. They don't really *get* mental illness. They are modernising but its difficult for them. There were some women in the church wearing pants and they are beginning to understand that stuff like bipolar and the other stuff like ADHD (which is more like an emotional disorder or learning disability) is a brain-centered thing and not a soul centered thing. I'm very relieved. However, they still don't like my son and so I may just not go back.
So, anyway, I hope that Carolin, Heidi, Kathy and everyone will have a great rest of the week.
Miss Cate
PS: My middle name is "Evenstar" just like "Arwen Evenstar" which further gives account that I wish I could have been born British. LOL!
