Yes, indeed, my dear ladies.......my son......the one that a Sunday School teacher called "Autistic" when he was three........the one who was known "never to read........." RECITED an entire King Arthur Story to a friend of mine yesterday....says he has been reading at the school library everyday......Uh huh......To all the people who told me my son was stupid..........Ha Ha......We've proven you wrong.

Never accept the labels stuck on our children and ourselves.
How dare anyone say your son is autistic without proper diagnosis or training and to label your son "stupid" ... We all develop at our own pace. Each one of us have our unique skills. Well done to your young man Cate x
Thanks y'all. Yes, those with a Master's in Education should stick to education, and let the psychometrists and psychiatrists diagnose. Indeed.
So far today has been going pretty well. Should be a good weekend as we have some fun things planned. Josh's birthday party which he wanted to have over the summer even though his actual birthday is an April is on Sunday at an indoor trampoline park and then pizza at a nearby pizza parlor afterward. And tomorrow we have the Maker Fair which is where one year ago Josh discovered that he liked welding.
Good job for your son, Cate! My son has Aspergers so I do understand the struggles.
