I am finally getting caught up with posts from Kathy during the week. Again I am so sorry to not be here this week.
Kathy, I am sorry to hear about Frannie and about her fiancees reaction to her illness. Fibromyalgia is serious pain. I know others who have it and it is tough. We have a wedding to go to today. Hopefully I will make it. Welcome back Carolin. Glad you had a good trip.
Thank you Heidi, I was very upset with George and I don't really understand him. Franny says he has the brain of a rat, LOL! I really don't understand that either. Why would she stay with a guy she feel that way about??? I will have a serious talk with her. I did ask her about that and she said she feels he takes care of her and has stuck with her when all her other friends have left her high and dry. Not a good enough reason, I say. Will be talking a lot about this boy to her.
Heidi, I am so sorry it has been a struggle for you. I understand and there is no need to apologize for it to either of us. I know Carolin can certainly understand it, too. We have both been in your shoes before. I was not functional for YEARS. It is all a blur to me. Years and years of nothing. I do not know how I was able to go on, really. Somehow I got lucky I guess. My doctor hit on the right combination of medicines for me and my brain changed somehow I think. I am currently taking 8 different psych meds and need all of them to stay this way. I wish it were different. I wish I didn't need any at all. But, I do. Don't give up hope, Heidi. It will get better. Probably when you least expect it! And spring is coming! And your trip to Yosemite! You have a lot to look forward to. Let that carry you on the bad days. Love to you!
Carolin, welcome back dear!! Sounds like a lovely time, steeped in many bottles of wine, lol!! Those cakes looked so delicious! I wanted some! (When we were in Windsor, we went tea and had the most delicious cakes I have ever tasted. My mouth waters just remembering them, lol!) I am so very happy you had such a good trip and enjoyed yourself so much. You deserved a nice getaway like that after the winter you have had with the heating and the electrics. Good for you! Are you off this weekend? I hope you can take some time to relax at home.
I will have another funeral this Monday. That makes 3 in 3 weeks! But this one is the mother of friends of mine. She was 95 years old, bless her heart. A wonderful lady from my Grandma's parish who had 11 children! Her husband died suddenly when her kids were little, too. She raised all those children alone, never remarried and was in the same house all her life. I have many connections to the family so I will have to make an appearance at least at the visitation if not the funeral. I don't want work to think I am making things up, I am missing so often to attend funerals, lol!
Today being Saturday I plan to take my time and do some housework and rest in between. I have the sniffles and a bit of a sore throat. We have to set our clocks ahead tonight. I HATE that. Losing an hour is the worst. I do not know anyone who likes that, I really don't know why we do it.
Sorry for the rambling. Hope you ladies have a great Saturday! Love you both!
No need to apologise Heidi, after my last section I just slept for a year and had no energy or inclination to do anything else. As with Kathy the doctors worked hard to get my meds right and give me enough energy to want to get up. But I still have days when I simply sit un washed and not dressed at the computer. This vacation at my in laws has done me good because I HAD to get up and showered and it has got me into a good pattern which I hope to continue with for a while. The spring will be lighter and warmer and hopefully make things a tad easier for you.
Kathy I am sad to hear about George's reaction too. A quiet word with Franny I think is on the cards. Also three funerals in three weeks is a lot and does make you wonder about the fragility of life.
The clockes go forwards here on Easter Sunday night so for a week you all will be an hour closer.
I am just catching up with emails now having done two loads of laundry and got them on the washing line outside. Monday I will start to count points again but today I can eat what ever I like LOL
