Hi Everyone .I am new to this forum - not new to j-pouches!I have had mine for 22 years and my 11 year old daughter has had hers for five years. Mine is the best. Sorry, but true. No problems, no pouchitis, no leakage - my Iron Maiden, I call her! However,my daughters gives her trouble. Pouchitis was a problem, but we think we are all set with that now. She is just on Culturelle and loperamide. problem is, night time accidents. Every night. We tried more loperamide, not eating after 6pm, no chocolate. I think because she got UC at three years old, her little anus muscles neverhad a chance to fully developed! She is fine during the day, but no control at night. Does anyone have any similar problems, or advice! Appreciate it!

My issues with this were all related to pouchitis, I now take Cipro for chronic pouchitis, but it's well controlled so long as I do that (knock. on. wood.).
I didn't think after my first bout with it, that this was the continuing issue because for the chronic pouchitis, my symptoms were somewhat different (but leakage was definitely one).
