Hi:
I was reflecting on my "career" path and realized that I experienced the same patterns over and over again.
All of my bosses (except for one) have been domineering and very controlling women and would find me easy prey to intimidate and shatter my confidence. A few have been passive-aggression on top of all of that. In addition, the boss always had a "side kick" (e.g. pet) who liked to stir the pot and would cause me grief. Even more interesting, was that the two-faced snitch usually is a short, very overweight, dark-haired woman. (Not to criticize on weight or appearance.)
That combination always drove my anxiety and paranoia levels over the top.
I also noticed that the men weren't much better. They would heap the work on me, and while I thrived with the challenges, the more I succeeded, the worse their attitudes towards me became. They'd get to the point where they'd try to hold me back. That would cause severe frustration and depression for me.
I'd love to go to therapy or some intense reflection to see why I attract these tops of supervisors.
Any of you had similar experiences?

Mom and I have errands to run this morning. She said we can get sushi for lunch though. I go back to work today. What are you looking forward to this weekend?

Quick, before the evil MONday gets here! Let's climb those mountains, dance in the meadows, dip our feet in the ocean....Okay, so most of us won't be doing any of That. Sadly. But today can still be a great day!The area behind our back fence is on an incline, with less than two feet on even ground at the top. I don't balance well enough for the incline, but our mower guy mows that...

I think some of it may be that I put out vibes that I don't really want to get very close to my co-workers or bother with them much. My anxiety and depression cause me to need a lot of "space" at work just to get my job done. I probably find substitute parental figures in my bosses, even when I sometimes have been older than they are.
I don't know if any of this is helpful. I hope things improve for you.
