A group where people can discuss Jehovah Witnesses or Christianity. I want to discuss the choice and the problems one can expect when couples are unevenly yoked.
I just finished typing a letter to the Brothers at my local KH, asking if they could put me in touch with a local sister to conduct my study either by regular mail, email, or instant messenger. We will see what comes of it. I really want to resume my study and really wish it wasn't so difficult.
I haven't seen anyone on this site for a year or more.I just posted this stuff recently to try to create a renewed interest.I am so glad you want to study.I have been studying for two years solid, off and on I have studied for six years.I want to get baptized if I can ever stay in the same k. Hall long enough.I bet they will find a way for you to have your study.I sure hope so anyway.Best wishes with it., Lydia
Matthew 28:19,20 shows that Christ uses other humans to help us to understand what is involved in being a real christian. In harmony with that ,Jehovah's Witnesses offer to visit people in there home for an hour or so each week free of charge to discuss the Bible. For anyone new to us that may be reading here.Any way we all have need of a teacher, and I am praying that Jehovah will send the just right for you teacher and in the right forum of teaching that you need, and very soon.
Thank you, Lydia! I really appreciate your encouragement! I truly want to resume my study and work towards baptism. I pray that you will be able to realize that goal as well! I not only want to have my study, I want to be able to GO to the hall without fear of being kicked out of Grandma's house. I just want to freely worship Jehovah! If others don't want to be involved, that's their right. But why can't I have my right to worship my God? I apologize for the rant.....
How are you progressing, Lydia? How far are you from baptism? Have you ever shared in the field ministry as an unbaptized publisher? I was one back in 1994 and absolutely loved it! Had my first study lined up and then had to move out of state. So many obstacles...I could sit her for days typing my story. The bottom line is, I know what is in my heart. I just wish others understood. I know the Bible tells us that we will be persecuted for our beliefs, and that we should be happy to be persecuted for the name of Jehovah... but sometimes I despair over having to keep silent and not even be able to defend the Witnesses when I hear others making misinformed comments about them.
Well I was ready to be baptized and had to move, this new hall I am in insist on my meeting attendance being better before they restore me to unbaptized publisher, and that I can never see happening, as I have MS and it is real bad. They have not reached out to me very much, it is discouraging.Last week a new elder noticed my difficulty in walking, and he was very kind, I am hoping he will help me to get re instated.I had four bible studies going at once for a while.I was passing out Watch towers at thew bus stop every other Friday and getting great results in my neighborhood as well.I also had a Spanish family that accepted many Spanish publications, and I was studying hose children after school at my home a lot.I had one teen boy who's parents where opposed coming to play with my son, but he was so starved for the truth, he wanted to study over see my son, he was hiding his Watch Towers under his mattress. His mom found them and got very angry at me, then after he tearfully told her how much he loved the truth, she decided to let him have a regular study, he wanted to study everyday, I loved studying with him, the elders where impresses with him as well.I wish I knew what became of him.It is hard to be sent away, but oh so rewarding as well ! Just remember it is Jehovah they are rejecting, not you personally. We must offer truth to them all, we never know what seed will grow.I love it, so excitting to me, and gives me a purpose for living.
Me, too!!! I was ready to be baptized and then had to move. Unfortunately, I had to move back in with my dad, who was an athiest, and he said I could not study and live in his home...so I stopped studying. Talk to the brothers about your medical condition and how hard it is for you to get to meetings sometimes. Some Halls have it where you can listen by phone... I will pray that something can be worked out for you, Lydia! I went through that too, when I first started learning about the Truth. I had to hide my literature from my mom...she found it and was very very angry. So then I began keeping it in my locker at school. I loved field service! I am looking forward to going out again, if it is ever possible. I totally understand what you mean when you said it gives you purpose. Have faith, dear friend!!!
The locker at school was a smart idea, have to remember that one ! I am so poor I can't even afford a phone, not even a 20. month welfare phone ! I will talk to them if can ever pin one down ! Thanks !!! Love ya sweet Stephinie
Try sending a letter directed to the elders at the hall. Lay it all out their...your medical conditions AND your derire to progress. See what comes of that. I know what you mean about not having a lot of money...it is a struggle for us too...Jehovah will provide!
Hello Ladies,
My names Martin,
I'm very new to this group, and I'm very new to Jehovah Witnesses, I have been studying for nearly 2 months, I have always believed in God, so it was easy speaking to a witnesses , so I now study 2 times a week with my teacher as I call her, and I revise before the lesson, and she is great, I go to the Kingdom Hall on Sundays, I get there 3/4 of an hour early so I read the bible, and I love it, I'm looking for another person to study with, I hope to hear from you if you're interested,
