I have never heard of them; however, if they have been around since 1992, then most likely they are a reputable agency.

I found their website under Alternative Reproductive Resources. I saw some blogsites that said they'd have reviews of this agency, but didn't find any reviews. I'd check w/ the local BBB to see if they have any complaints lodged against them.

I looked on the bbb website and there are no reviews either :-(

I'd take that as a good sign because if they had complaints they'd show up, I'm sure. I would check w/ your RE office to see how their experiences with this agency have been.

My friend used this agency and strongly encouraged me not to use them. She had a horrible experience and so much went wrong. Her donor was not a good donor (she did get pregnant but also suffered I believe 7 miscarriages with the donor). . I don't know if you live in the Chicago area but I do and my doctor has his own donor pool so you only pay $5-7,000 as opposed to $14,000+ to use an agency. Of course everyone has their own story and journey so if you are comfortable using them, then go for it.

Cardinals1 - Dr. Feinberg is the best!! She was my Dr. for my first IVF :) I currently go to Dr. Randy Morris in Naperville. He just opened in new office in downtown Naperville so no more traveling to the city for transfers! I go to him because he has his own donors and you ONLY pay the donor fee. For our first cycle we paid the donor $6,000 then $500 for her to have insurance and then $1,200 for freezing of embryos but we didn't have any. My friend currently goes to Dr. Feinberg and I'm a huge fan of hers. Only switched because of endometriosis and wanted a Dr. who specializes in that so I went to Dr. Rana. Once we learned we were doing donor eggs I switched to Dr. Morris because of the low cost of donor eggs. Not sure where you live but I was at Morri's new office yesterday and I'm really looking forward to NOT having to drive to the city for transfers like I've had to in the past :)

I'm from Chicago too. We used frozen donor eggs, a new program offered by FCI (fertility Centers of Illinois) in conjunction with Donor Egg Bank )DEB) USA. We chose our donor online, wired the fee which covers everything, emailed our legal documents which we had notarized to DEB and then they shipped the eggs to FCI. We had our transfer at FCI. I did get pregnant on the first try, but miscarried last month at 5 months pregnant. We have frozen embies so we're hoping to do a FET in a few months. Frozen donor eggs are the wave of the future. No waiting to extract eggs from donor, or the need align cycles. The eggs are ready to ship, once you sign the documents and send the fee.

My friend is doing a donor embryo transfer soon - I am not sure where she found them but I know it's a website where you contact the couple looking to donate theirs - she is having them transferred to FCI and will hopefully be transferring them soon! So many amazing options out there - how much was it for frozen eggs? I would be interested in looking into that. Sorry to hear you miscarried - praying you have a successful FET :)

@coffeegirl4 if you choose to do frozen donor eggs you go to Donor Egg Bank Bank USA's website www.donoreggbankusa.com. Then you choose a donor and reserve a batch of eggs. A batch of eggs could be 6 0r 7 eggs. These eggs have already been frozen and are ready to be shipped, so you don't have to wait for the donor to sync cycles. The donor has already given her eggs and is done. It's anonymous. You contact DEB, they email the contracts, you sign, get them notarized and email to them. You wire the fee which is $17,000. That includes the batch of eggs, ICSI, transfer, and monitoring at FCI. DEB also has a program where you pay a certain fee and you get six chances... if you don't get a live baby after six chances you get your money back.

@ cardinals1 - with my Naperville Dr., my insurance paid for the IVF so all I was responsible for was the donor egg fee ($6,000), insurance for the donor ($500) and and freezing of embryos ($1,200) So our total was $7,700. By using his own donors it saved us thousands by not having to pay agency fees. Is Dr. Miller also in Schaumburg? I went to Dr. Rana for endometriosis as I have a ton of it and he did a surgery a year and a half ago and I still didn't get pregnant so who knows what's going on inside my body! When Dr. Feinberg did my first IVF, she did a cartwheel in the room after she was able to retrieve my 4th egg :) She's so awesome! I hope this FET works for you!

I am taking a break from everything right now and having the "summer of fun" but will need to figure out a donor soon as I'm hoping to get off of my husband's insurance by 2014 and we have one IVF left under his.
