My husband and I ttc for 3 years before we finally became pregnant with our beautiful twins by in-vitro via donor eggs. At age 27 I was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve and was given a less than 3% chance of ever conceiving with my own eggs. I was told that I had the ovaries of a 45 year old woman's. It didn't take long for us to decide that donor eggs were the way to go for us and we could not be any happier. Our twins are 13 months old and bring such joy to our family.

Because of my diagnosis, we decided that we were never going to prevent pregnancy again. Back when we were pregnant with the twins, the doctor did an ultra sound and couldn't even find my ovaries because they had shrunk so much. Never in a million years did I think it would be possible for it to happen naturally, but here I am 8 weeks pregnant! Just because biology tells you that you cannot get pregnant, it does not mean that it is completely impossible! The heartbeat is strong, and even though we haven't shared with others yet, I wanted to share with all of you to know that it can happen.

For those of you considering using donor eggs, it was the best thing I could have ever done! I love my twins more than anything! It is funny because people think they look more like me than my husband. I am a spiritual woman and I always say, that these two little souls were meant to be mine, they just needed a different way to get to me.
