Just reinforcing Casssy's update about being over 40 and getting pregnant. I'm 42 and we just completed our first round of donor IVF and today I got my second beta reading of over 3,000! I'm officially pregnant! I can't believe it... I keep having to tell myself over and over again....it's amazing! So, don't give up, keep the faith and think wonderful, happy baby vibes! May you all be blessed to reach your dreams!
SissyM & YvonneKB thats great news. To everyone else out there over 40 & doing IVF keep the faith it can work for you as it has for the 3 of us. I am 44 and 19 weeks pregnant, I was beinging to think it would never happen & now we are so happy.
Success hip hip hoooray! So very happy for all of you! Keep us posted. I really needed this today, just started Official Round II and am so anxious about all of it! My last cycle just ended April 9th, no time like the present huh!

I'm really hoping for a happy ending like you ladies. I did 2 rounds of IVF with DE. One of each answer (BFN and BFP (chemical)). I am trying to keep the faith, but it is so hard. We don't have the money for another round right now until we cash in a 401K. Glad to join this group.
I am 43 years old and just did my first IVF with my own eggs. I got my BFP on 11/21/11! We spend 5 years TTC. 1 year on our own and 4 years with fertility treatments. We are "unexplained infertility." We did 4 clomid IUIs and 3 Gonal F IUIs. Then a year later we got pregnant naturally (I was 41) but miscarried at 9 weeks. We finally decided to get the money and try a Hail Mary with IVF. It worked! I'm still in shock - yes, it can happen. Happy Thanksgiving ladies!
