Anyone have success with IVF using their eggs? Im 43 and have remarried and my husband has no children. I have 2 from a previous marriage. Looking for some success stories as my DR is great but blunt in letting me know my chances are slim due to my age. Had bloodwork done and just started the pill. FSH 9.68 AMH 1.2 and 9 follicles. Estradiol is 36.48 progesterone under 1. I am new to this and not sure if my numbers are good? Tried researching but get various responses. Also never has fertility issues. We have been trying for almost 2 years naturally. I have also been taking ubiqinol and inisotl. Any feedback would be great!!! Thank you!!
Hi, Welcome to the group. I started my fertility testing at age 40 and at the time I did that AMH was not tested. My FSH varied anywhere between 6 and 12.2, my RE said my estrogen was elevated (don't remember the number) so that wasn't a good sign. I did two rounds of IUI, showing 4 - 5 good sized follicles each time without a BFP and then did 4 IVFs, all with a good number of eggs and embryos (transferred back 4-5 each cycle), I did these cycles at age 41 and 42, they didn't result in a pregnancy. At this point because I responded so well to the meds and seemed to get good quality embryos (never did pre-genetic testing on them though), my RE said it was a tough decision and definitely my call as to whether or not to go the donor egg route. Because I'd been going through fertility treatments for so long, and because it was more important for me to be a mother than have a genetic link, I opted to go the donor egg route. So on my 5th IVF (this one DE), I finally got my BFP at age 43. Good luck to you!
I’m getting ready to start IVF in May using my own eggs and I will have just turned 44. using my own eggs as high AMH of 3.6 and everything else looks great except a cyst on my left ovary they will try and remove next month. I have never had a baby so this is my only shot. Tried Clomid and IUIs last year without any luck. Also wanting to hear of success stories using own eggs.
Good luck to you
Good luck to you
