Hi All, First time i'm joining a group of such. It's nice to have others who understand. I'm 39 about to be 40. I had two retrievals last year, first 1 - 13 eggs, only one blastocyst, which failed to implant. Second retrieval, 18 eggs but no blastocyst.
Just had an IUI and got my period yesterday. So that failed as well.
I'm reaching out because i blame myself for the past failures, I was smoking periodically. I've quit as of 3 months ago, not even one. I'm actually hoping that is why none were reaching blastocyst. If that's the case, then hopefully no where to go but up. Does anyone have experience with IVF after they stopped. How long should I wait to try IVF again. Anybody share my story? Will growth hormone help my case?
Hi there, @babyplease. I'm sorry you're facing this emotional burden. I'm not new to IVF. Years ago dh and I went through numerous IVF shots with own eggs. 4 in total and 2 IUIs. All they failed leaving emotional scars first and then physical. We'd been with 3 fertility doctors, all they had different opinions on options to try out. But all diagnosed me on endo (severe) and PCOS in the long run. I'm telling this for you to know, I don't believe your smoking at times could be this disasterous to your treatment shots. There must have been some more serious reason. You could have a free Skype consultation with the clinic we've been currently with, BTC, for instance. So that you could address all your worries to the experts directly.
In brief, they've got really attractive IVF packages. Costs are affordable. A huge set of services included into the package price. All meds needed/donor egg fee (if needed). They guide well through all the treatment stages. If any questions, feel free to ask.
