I have had insomnia all my life to one extent or a nother ..last year I had for the first time had to be put on a sleeping pill ...for a year than I got off ..of it and I ended up with bad angizity and hadent slept for three months and had to back on the sleeping pills .....but what I am doing now is ....the doctor has raised one of my antiedepresants and my antiangizity med ....and now I take one half a sleeping pill and a sleepe tee ..befor bed and if I need a nother half durning the night I will take the other half ...I don't like to be on sleeping pills ..........this is helping me so far I still have some problem sleeping and problems with angizity that I have to work on but it is a lot better ......I can function ......I try to go to bed by ten ...each night ..no caffeen ....try to stay off the computer ..a cupple Hours befor bed .....but in the middle of the night when I can't sleep I will read ..on my iPad ...with a black screen ........untill I can go back to sleep ........if you have any more questions let me know

Hi thankyou for answering. I am still in the same position unable to sleep at all without lorazepam but even that leaves me with a headache earache and feeling sick all day. I have no energy and have lost three stone. I have asked to be referred to a sleep clinic because I can't see a life on sleeping tablets and feeling so awful. It's hard for people to understand because apart from looking a lot thinner and tired you still have to try to function . At the moment I feel like a body with no life because I am so tired

HI kathy, i read yr post and i can feel with you regards to your situation. It is very much similar to me as i was struggling with sleeplessness at night and honestly it has crippled my work and family life. i was getting agitated easily and affected many aspect of my life. I tried medication, drugs and gone to sessions of TCM and also tried musics meditation stuff, but of limited help.
it is like my life has been taken away from me robbed me of my valuable time with my loved ones. i am 48 and at this age , the lacking of sleep can be very badly damaged the health. i then found a solution, i tried a mattress from japan approved by ministry of health in japan and used in hospitals, it uses electropotential as the therapy. i tried for a week and improvement starts and getting my life back, the return journey has been a blessing for me i felt. if i can help you to pass you this message of hope, i felt i would have done myself a good deed, i been thru this and i want to help others, please dont feel any hestiation if you need to talk more about this therapy i will do my best and do know there is always hope at the end of the tunnel.
