Infertility, Secondary Support Group
"Secondary infertility" is difficulty conceiving after already having conceived and carried a normal pregnancy. Apart from various medical conditions (e.g. hormonal), this may come as a result of age and stress felt to provide a sibling for their first child.
Hello my name is Beth and i am new to journals and support groups. My husband and I have been married for 5 years, we tried for almost 2 years to get our Daughter. We ended up doing jsut one round of clomid and we where pregnate. we hoped that it would be that simple this time around. This was not the case, we have done 5 rounds of clomid (100mg), and then 1 round of letrazole (2.5). I saw an RE doctor a few weeks ago and got my lab work done. I thought that i might have had PCOS, but my labs did not suggest that. My AMH was low (0.07) I am only 31 will be 32 next month. And she said that my FSH was high. Not sure what it was. I have to go back in for labs on day 3 of my cycle to check some other labs. We have to see what those say, and my mind is runnign a mile a min thinking that we will never be able to provide a second child to our family. Any advice would be great to get my mind off of the bad things that could happen.
My AMH was also low and my FSH was high. I was tested 5 years ago when i was 34, but i was able to have our daughter. I’m now 39 and have had 2 clomid cycles and 1 gonal-F (1 shot every day for 5 days) cycle. Don’t lose hope, let’s keep each other posted on our progress, before you know it we will both have our big fat positive pregnancy tests!
