I understand your nervousness and applaud your courage in speaking out about your incest. I am anonymous on here because I don't want my family to find out that I'm talking about my incest. I need to talk about it or I'll never get well. Thank goodness I found a safe place to open up about it in.

It is great that you joined, you don't need to be scared. It is time for you to take control. He can't control you anymore, you have control of your life. I was a victim of incest for more than half of my life. I am 17 years old now, and can definitely understand the fear of the abuser finding out. My biological father molested me when i was a little baby, up until 9 years old. It is the worst memory of my life, and has been a major struggle for me to deal with. This site is definitely helping me deal with this, you can get help too. Talk to anyone, they will listen. We are all here to help and be helped.

I understand what you are going through because I thought alot about it and have had alot of supporters here on DS. I just joined this group also but do find myself safer and able to talk about the abuse that has happened to me.

make sure your username is not in reference to your real name(it can be changed if you need to by messaging Doug), you might feel safer if you use an avatar that is not a photo of yourself , not to write identifying things in your posts, like area, 'real' names, specific dates, etc

I found this group from one of my friends on DS. I am glad it has helped reading about what others have experienced. And most of all I wasn't alone in what I felt. When your ready to talk about this, were here to read and respond.
