Hello everyone, Good Morning:)

I feel that caregiving is a very tough journey and we humans sometime smay feel angry towards the situation which is completely normal. It is tough to see our loved ones suffer and go thro the difficulty.Anyone has any thoughts of their experiences how they handle 'anger'..please share it would be great to know how others deal with it.

..I know its easy to say to calm doen and solve the problem etc etc..but we can try one step at atime I feel.

i think that all these listed above are great i must say i have worked on most of these it is difficult when we deal with moments of frustration and failure with not seeing and anticipating what could happen if we do this or that or after an episode of disappointment occurs i can sense i have let her my mother down by voicing my mistake or speaking or thinking out loud which is my mistake she listens to everything because i and her are the only ones in which to give voice to one another what one says can effect the mood of the other.
i myself am trying hard not to openly think out loud especially when at the moment that is occuring becomes an obstacle that we together must work through to over come if that be physical obstacles , transfering, bedwetting, cleaning, meals all these tasks can be over whelming when one gets tired and begins to speak outloud within ear shot of our loved ones.

when it starts to escalate i remove myself from her and find a place in which to center myself
i call it my center of tranquility a happy place to regroup and ponder of about how i will proceed where i made the mistake and try once again to be mindful of what i mood i am creating for my mother.

I failed this test miserably. My fear expressed itself in anger. Now I live with the regret. I wish I had just shut up - instead of voicing the anger at the time. No excuses, but it waas hard, having absolutely nobody to confide in at the time.

barbarame i am sure that even those moments that your fear caught a hold of you your love never diminished even during those trying moments I hope you will not hold on to those regrets i am sure your loved one knew the struggle you were dealing with at the time.
