Wow that's great! I could use one of those myself. All my doc told me was that my ears look fine and the hearing loss I am experiencing is from age :( then he says that hearing aids would help, but no one gives them away so I'm just going to have to live with it.
There are places that do give them for free or cheap if your willing to be a test subject. I know Bell Tone does and trying to think of who else might. Also talk to someone from your state about state aid for hearing aids. I know I had to do that when I lived in KS and only paid about 300-500 for them and the rest was covered. It's just a one time thing in some cases.
Doc told me at the appt that I have moderate to severe hearing loss. What irriated me the most is the guy who owns the clinic I went to limits the tests they do. Worst part is even though it's free if you want the test results for your records you pay 95 bucks due to people missing with the system.

So what is the point of having the test done if you can't have the results without paying for it? What are people supposed to do if they don't have the money? How do they know if they have serious problems and need help if they don't know the results of the test?
You know that makes no sense to me,,,right???? So is it in both ears or just one? Mine is tottally out in my right ear and 2% in my left,,,,let me know where they can test on me LOL
It's both ears that I have issues with and the problem is since they don't do a varity of tests I'm slightly under score with them then with my doc that I had in Kansas. The audiologist told my g/f that they don't all do the same tests. She said it was because they would have vetrans go in and get tested then use the paperwork for other things(no clue and she wouldn't elaborate). The worst part is I was doing it because I have had to file for disablity, I'm pretty much over 50% deaf in both ears.
Man I wish I could use sign language! Been wanting to learn for years. But I have no one to use it with me so I forget what I've learned and have to learn all over again.
I think I know that sign too, but I never use it. lol
I learned a few basic signs when I was in grade school. Those I still remember, but trying to learn anything new now days is worse than pulling teeth! My memory is great. The problem is that my brain is too crowded with all the unimportant junk that I filled it with when I was young and there is no room to cram anything new in there. Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
