I found these videos by Abel Keogh on YouTube. They are very informative. He doesn't use the religious applications that Susie Borrows LaRue does, but he does share a man's perspective on many issues of dating/marrying a widower. He also has several books on Amazon.

I wish I had seen all this before marrying a widower in 2011, because it may have helped (or by-passed) a somewhat rocky relationship. Well, I can't go back, but I can learn while I wait on Husband #4. I actually was married to two widowers, technically, but they both passed.

You were married to two widowers and they both passed - does that mean you are twice a widow? Wow.
My biggest fear as a recent widow and a new bride is to have to go through this again...I was especially careful to choose a younger and healthier husband this time (keeping my fingers crossed).
Shewearsblack17, I wish we could live in the same place; I am sure we'd be best friends. I like you for your optimism and a positive attitude. Keep being yourself and I wish you to find a new love soon. You do deserve it!

Correct. My first husband is still alive (barely); he was abusive and divorced me. My second husband had been married five other times, so I was Wife #6. I believe it was his second wife who was killed in a car wreck, along with their baby boy. Sam and I were married for 18 years till his fatal heart attack. A year later I married my third husband, and he was a widower. So that marriage lasted from 2011 through 2016 until he lost the battle with cancer. They can be young and healthy one day, but one never knows how fast things can change.

I am planning to move to Missouri, if I can pull it together by June. Where do you live?
