HOPEFUL HEARTS...LIVING AGAIN AFTER THE LOSS Community Group
We are a group of people who have grieved the loss of a spouse, partner, or lover and are searching for a life without our mate. Some looking for their own identity as an individual or finding a life for themself. Some looking for companionship or a serious relationship with someone new. And some just feeling lost and unsure. We offer encouragement, support and virtual...
First of all thank-you for sharing you beautiful story of love with us, and I am so so happy for you. Reading this I could so relate to what you are saying. I think I am certainly guilty of wondering " how will I know he is the one'? I also agree that the mix of grown children/grandchildren makes things so much more difficult. There will never be anyone like their Father/Grandfather. I am so concerned about putting my children though anymore grief that what they have already had to bear that I keep pulling myself backwards just to avoid that scenario. I know in my heart at some point as you said what we think is what really matters. I know I deserve to be happy and am praying for Gods will in my life.
It sounds as though you have found just the perfect match for you, and that is so wonderful. I am sure it is so amazing to think house much he is like your John, and yet so different. I have to think your DH has had a hand in this.
Continued happiness...

I'm happy to report that after six months of marriage, I've never been happier. Yes, I still think of my late husband, but his life ended. Mine did not and I'm moving forward as best I can. My son has adjusted, and it has been difficult. But each time they are together, it gets a little easier. My doubts, ... they're gone. He's not perfect, but neither am I and neither was my late husband. As for everybody's shock and surprise.... well, that was yesterdays news. We have long since stopped being the topic of discussion.
Life is so short and precious. Dont' waste a second.... just enjoy the ride. I wish you both every happiness.
I wish you the very best of everything & that your hopes will be fulfilled, whatever they may be.
Blessings & Hugs!
