The beginning of May I wrote stating I had been dumped by the first man I had dated since my husband died.  I was devastated beyond words.  I had joined a dating site and knew as soon as I had it was a mistake...way to soon after the passing of my husband.  I cancel immediately but had a month's subscription nonetheless.  I corresponded with a couple of men but nothing came of it.  On the fourth to the last day of the subscription two men contacted me.  I wrote each one the identical response...sorry shouldn't have joined, to soon after the death of my husband, just wanted to be friends, etc.  Both responded almost immediately.  To make a long story short I started seeing one of them.  He turned out to be a jerk.  When he dumped me out of the blue, I was so upset I called the other just to vent.  He was so calming, so understanding and now has become my best friend.  We can talk about anything.  There is never a lull in conversation.  I know he wants more of a relationship and I'm just not ready after being burned so badly by the other guy.  Needless to say it doesn't matter to him...he'll wait.  He says he feels it in his heart and is willing to take it slow.  I don't know what I did to deserve this guy but I think he's a keeper but know I need to take it slow....one day at a time.  I know my hubby would be happy for me...but I miss him dearly.  I know I wasn't ready when the first guy came along but this feels right.  I'm happy with me now....and happy to have found such a good friend.  If it doesn't work, I know I will be fine....I've come a long way the last few months and I am proud of myself.  I know I'm a survivor and I am looking forward to the future.  Thanks everyone for being the support system I needed....without this site I'm not sure where I would be.
