Hi, I have been widowed for 20 months. I am 62 years old. I signed up to a dating website out of curiosity and probably loneliness. I had an online stalker, ick. Then had a coffee date with a nice man and we talked for 90 minutes. Nothing came of it and I didn't expect it to. Quit reading the e-mails from the dating site. Decided I was okay alone. Went back to reading the emails just as my subscription was about to expire. I had a note from a man and we started talking on the dating site, both of us cautious. That led to exchanging personal e-mails and phone numbers. We have talked once over the phone, very nice. He has texted me and I have enjoyed that. The emails are nice too but don't seem to be going anywhere. No mention of a date or meeting. I am not sure what to think. I don't want to play games or lead him on. He seems very "normal" and has not put any pressure on me. I enjoyed the exchanges but it's hard to keep up the energy level of "pre-dating" or whatever this is. I want to just let it die out, I think. Wish we had met for coffee in the very begining so I had a better idea of chemistry. Nothing at all bad to say about him except he does not seem terribly curious about me. Am I crazy, should I be expecting more? Just getting some thoughts out of my head. Don't see how it would work out as he lives 100 miles away and I am not moving, doubt he is either. What to do, what to do. What would you do? end it before it begins? Thanks for listening.
