Well, I have had 3 first dates and 1 second date, in one week. I've been working 10-12 hour days, so I've been a bit crazy.lol I had lunch with Skip, who I met on PlentyofFish, he's been divorced for around 8 years. I found out during lunch that he hasn't dated in 8 years. We had talked for over a month before he came to where I work, to meet me. He doesn't like to drive at night, and he lives an hour away. He said he's land rich, but cash poor. He's on disability for diabetes, and he's lost both his big toes to it. He's very sweet, called me after my medical scare, very concerned. I'd like to see him more, but not too sure, if more than just friends. I don't want to break his heart either. I'd like to see him get out and see more people, but we'll see. He's big on hunting, and has 75 acres, that he hunts on.
I went to a concert with a man last Thursday, with my daughter and her boys. It was OK, but the guy was a little too touchy feely, and was talking about his water bed and didn't really feel too much for him. So, when he didn't call, I was relieved. Cross that "player" off the list.
On Wednesday I had a lunch date with a retired police detective. He was nice, he actually asked questions about me, and I told him how my husband died. Lunch went very well, and we were the last to leave the restaurant. He wanted us to move to a coffee shop, to talk more, but I had another date at 5. We talked about a half an hour at the car. He did bring up a couple of sexual remarks, which, I kind of blew off. We kissed, and I left. He sent me an email the next day, and asked if I could reserve Wednesday for another date. I sent him one back, saying I didn't want to rush into anything, that I didn't want a fling, that it wasn't my style. I said if he wanted to plan the day, to go ahead and surprise me. I hope that was pretty clear, that what my intentions were. Player?
Wednesday afternoon, I went downtown to hear Irma Thomas at a park and met Gordon there. First time meeting him, gave him a hug, and we spent the next couple of hours talking and not really listening to the concert. He's a recovering alcholic, and is very involved with AA, hosting meetings and socials, and he owns his own business for the last 30 years, building patios, gazebos, sheds, etc. Has 3 acres on the northshore about an hour away. At first I thought he's a nice sweet guy. He told me he collects junk, and does some artwork in his yard. He collects the plastic horses, the kids bounce on, when people throw them out. He says he has a herd of them on his lower 40 (feet), he also hangs chandeliers in his trees. He loves to dress up for Halloween and Mardi Gras. Me and my husband used to, too. I talked to him tonight, and we were talking about getting mad, and I said I had never gotten mad about my husband's death, because God didn't take him, and he wasn't in his right frame of mind when he died. I didn't realize I hadn't told him. His grandmother committed suicide, 12 years ago. He makes me laugh, and I made him laugh a few times too. He's one I'm going to try and get to know better for sure.
Now, I have the guy I dated months ago, wanting to come and spend the night (granddaughter's room) He has 3 days off, from offshore, he's working for BP. Wants us to go out to eat and go listen to some music. I think the only reason, he's calling, is that I told him I had a date last week, when he wanted me to do him a favor. I hadn't heard from him in a few weeks. I haven't seen him since maybe July. He wanted to rent a room downtown and do all this, but when we did that last time I saw him, he had too much to drink and had to go back to the room to sleep, and we didn't even finish eating, much less, hear any music. I told him, he could live in my world for a day. I'm not impressed with him spending money on me. I want to be able to talk to him, and get him to know, that we are friends only. I can't be in a relationship with someone, I see every couple of months.
This is long, but, right now it's my crazy life. Not only this, there are a couple of guys emailing me, wanting to meet me. I told them, I have too much going on right now. I can only handle emailing, for the time being.

Chandeliers in trees & dressing up in costume.....I like that too. I NEED bohemian.....and not many of those either. Have fun, kiddo. Enjoy the journey.
That help you any, Loran?"
I spent 2 days with Don (BP) guy. We went out Sat night with his couisin and her husband. He had gotten a room downtown. I left him sleeping at 9:30. He had ordered a masseuse for the both of us for Sunday morning. I had to work for a few hours, so he got his first, then I had mine. It was very nice. We went out to eat for lunch, then went to the pool for an hour or so. We sat at the hotel bar and finished watching the Saints. We went to my house, and he took a nap. We went to supper, back home, separate rooms. He wants to take me out of town for a few days when he gets off. I took the time off, but I'm not holding my breath. He has disappointed me before. He kept telling me he loved me, and I told him we were friends and we weren't in a relationship. I told him, that I would be dating, also. He drinks too much, and I think that is the major reason, I'm holding back any feelings for him. We got into a major disagreement when he lit a cigarette up in my car. I guess he's not used to a woman with a backbone, but I wouldn't back down, and was going to pull over on the interstate, and have him finish it.
I had lunch with Gordon yesterday. I went for a tour of his house and yard. He is the most unusal guy. He takes junk and turns it into art. He had old wagons in a circle, had a herd of plastic horses on his lower 40 ft. He built a running track for the squirrels. He rescued a 3 legged dog, and has a Labadoddle. He has a lot going on with AA and has a busier social life, than I do.
