Hope things get better, but count your blessings and I know you do. I just HAD to get a new roof, having car problems, garbage disposal broke, broiler doesn't work on stove....and on and on. Just to let you know your not alone. Hugs and keep the faith......

OMG... I am so sorry. Every winter, my water pipes break, the joists under my house keep falling. The other day, my poor old car quit at the grocery store around the corner. I walked home. So my son, crawled out from under the house from fixing the water, went and got my car and brought it home. Thank goodness he is living with me. My washer/dryer quit last year. My daughter bought her a new set, to give me the old set, which works great. Thank goodness for my kids... Sandee

It's been a bad week for me too. Found out I need two root canals instead of one....even with dental insurance it's gonna cost an awful lot. Came down with some kind of cold like virus and have been dragging all week. Talked to my youngest daughter this morning and she has been diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis. My older daughter also has it since she was in her early twenties. I worry about my daughters .....They both have Hoshimotos a thyroid immune disease. It really makes me wonder if that Agent Orange has reared it's ugly head again.

Hi, life keeps hitting widows/widowers with repairs!!! Had to replace my hot water heater recently. After the last rainstorm, I noticed some little drops of water in the fireplace. That will, I guess, be the next repair.
My husband was so handy around the house and took good care of maintenance issues and all the yard work. I hired a gardener a few months after he passed, and he cuts the grass and that is about it, and I trim and weed. Also, my neighbor gave me the name of her repairman and that has worked out when I need help. At first, it was very difficult for me to handle these issues, but if I don't do it, it will not get done. So whatever needs fixing, I deal with it and get it fixed. So have come a long way in the past two years. One lady in my old support group said not to live your life in fear, so I try to remember that when something goes out of whack here.

joining the group- my water heater sprung a leak and it will be a major repair since this is a very old house and it is hard to get to, my car is down and so is our good pickup! Life keeps throwing curve balls, maybe we notice them more than we used to. Having someone to share the fear with helps, so when you are alone it is catastrophic. We had twin calves yesterday and the cow took them both, then we discovered one was blind, so I will have to raise it which is not real fun in the cold. There is never enough good stuff and way too much bad to go around these days, but you will make it through. Tomorrow is another day and you get to start all over! Blessings we will survive!!! My bathtub is sinking through the floor. I have been doing without things I need.. (meds, etc) to try to gather some money to fix the floors. So, my older sister informs me that she and her family of 6 are coming to stay with me for 2 weeks. then they plan on taking me to their house 700 miles away from me, for a week, and no excuses!!!!.... I can't afford them to come stay at my home, and truthfully my floors won't survive. My son and I tip toes around the rooms so the floors won't give. I told her that, goes in one ear, out the other. And IF I wanted to live up north, I would never have moved down south. Why do they think they can barge in on me? and try to tell me what to do? Upsets me so much... Sandee

I feel your pain.
But look at it this way: at least you will have something to show for your money.
I have had a couple of months where my lawyer bills were $30,000/mo. I kid you not. And nothing to show for it.
It is beyond ridiculous. Whoever wants to sue you can, and you have to fight it, or you lose.
So enjoy your new, fixed stuff at least.
