I haven’t been here for quite some time, I have grieved, I have scars but I have healed.
This is my story, without knowing me you all know parts of the story all too well.

All through my grief the loneliness was by far the hardest part. I kept busy, but busy is not the answer. I would sit and cry night after night. I so desperately wanted the phone to ring and have someone anyone ask about me, how was I on the inside. I couldn’t understand, my world changed and the rest of the world went on without me. My emotions I couldn't figure out, I was mad and didn’t know it at the time. Looking back I realize, had everyone reacted in the way I wished they would, it wouldn’t have made any difference at all. I had to grieve. My emotions were all over the place. It didn’t matter what the rest of the world did, I had to grieve. I tried to bypass the grief, that can’t be done. You must grieve in order to live again. Today I am in a far better place than I ever dreamed possible. First I gave myself permission to be OK. I grieved and now I can see again. I grieved and learned to love again. My wife will live with me forever in my heart, I did what I had to do, I grieved!

I have found new Love, a replacement there will never be. It is a new Love for her and for me! You see, we have both grieved. Out of our grief we emerged with a new understanding of how wonderful love should always be!
