HOPEFUL HEARTS...LIVING AGAIN AFTER THE LOSS Community Group
We are a group of people who have grieved the loss of a spouse, partner, or lover and are searching for a life without our mate. Some looking for their own identity as an individual or finding a life for themself. Some looking for companionship or a serious relationship with someone new. And some just feeling lost and unsure. We offer encouragement, support and virtual...
Hugs,
Val
PS: You are SO worth the effort and the time. His loss.
Try to keep your chin up Mel. When the guy I was having a relationship dumped me after 10 months I was devastated! Really! Even had to go on antidepressants for a bit. it was like a double whammy.
Two months after I was dumped I met the man I am now married to (it will be 5 years this May). If would have still been with the first guy, I wouldn't have given Bill a second look.
You don't give up and I admire that Things will work out for you. My thoughts are with you.

I don't believe for a minute you will be spending the rest of your life alone. Just slow down a bit. He may have trust issues or whatever from his divorice if it is recent. You are still healing from losing your husband. It could be bad timing but in any case, it's better to move on.
Odds are, you will find one amazing man who wil give you the time you need for the relationship to grow, and HE will still be alone.
Remember you were loved, and are worthy of more love. Keep the faith girl.
I felt the same way after the guy I was dating ended the relationship after 6 months. I was so hurt and devastated but, now it's getting better. The statistics show that there are a lot more single people these days. I think it's a lot better to be on your own than to be in a bad relationship. I hate to say it but, most divorced people have emotional issues and baggage and it's difficult to be in relationships with them. I question why he is so adamant on living together after only six months.
Take care of yourself, you'll survive.

You sound like one incredibly great lady and some very lucky man is one day going to be so blessed to call you his wife.
I just re- entered the dating world 2 months ago after 27 years and it is so much of a different world out there. Never know what is expected of me....too over- the- top or too nonchalant....hard to see where the line is. Just relaying my experience so that you know that I understand somewhat of what you are going through...more than once I have thought like you have...that there is no one for me and love is not out there for me anymore, but please do not lose faith....trust in GOD that HE will guide you through this and help you sort out the chaff and get to the wheat so to speak.
I know it hurts so bad when it doesn't work out, but my approach has always been either all in or all out...swing for the fences or stay on the benches....yes,the hurts run deeper, but the happiness is so much more rewarding.....my apologies if I got a bit off- topic....my prayers are with you....there is a great guy out there for you Mel....May GOD Bless You and Yours...Alex
